In this unprecedented time, the word “clean” means much more than ever before. To instill trust in your staff, entertainers, employees and guests, how you clean will be a critical factor as you reopen. Cannon Industrial Products offers several items to help put your mind at ease.

Long considered bastions of carnal pleasure — and constant targets of moral and litigious scrutiny — gentlemen’s clubs will need to be extra diligent as they resume operations. While the question of “when” hasn’t been answered as of the writing and publishing of this article, the “if” portion is all but a resounding certainty that clubs, like countless other businesses, will open to the public again.

When restrictions are lifted, it’s unclear if people will flock out in droves out of pent-up angst or gradually re-enter society due to a recontamination fear. But one thing is for certain: For those who do go out to clubs, restaurants, etc., hygiene and sanitizing will be at the forefront of people’s minds. Your guests will have these questions about your establishment:

• How recently was this venue cleaned?
• How thorough was the cleaning process?
• What did they use to clean this venue?

Like it or not, the coronavirus pandemic will redefine standards of cleanliness. As such, Cannon Industrial Products offers products that will completely disinfect clubs and afford customers something invaluable when rebounding from crisis: Peace of mind.

Cannon’s products pack the firepower

Cannon Phenalize Fogger

Cannon Industrial Products was founded in Nashville in 1997. A year and a half ago, John Brizzolara bought the company and has expanded from to a global level.

“With the current situation and the product we offer, demand is through the roof,” says Brizzolara.

Mass hysteria has certainly driven up searches for all kinds of cleaning and hygiene products, including those vendors who feast on panic with astronomical prices or the illusion of safety. So when considering who or where to turn to when looking for cleaning products, take the word of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), which has certified Cannon’s products—meaning the company’s standards have government approval.

“As far as clubs, the products you’ll want to use will really depend on where, exactly, you’re cleaning,” says Cannon chief operating officer Tanya Todd.
The Wave Urinal, for example, is a urinal screen perfect for clubs’ restrooms, sites of high traffic and high germ potential. Five times more fragrant and lasting for two months, the Blooming Wave Urinal releases billions of optimized bacteria that consume odors and keep drains clean and clear. The double-sided design makes installation a breeze, eliminates splashback, cuts cleaning time, and reduces labor costs.

And it only starts there. Here are their most popular products which could help your club as it prepares to reopen post-COVID.

Cannon AZ-F24 Fogger Concentrate Kit

AZ-F24 Fogger Concentrate Kit, which would make Adrian Monk squeal with delight. This heavy-duty kit includes the fogger, one gallon of AZ-F24 solution, a timer, mixing station, and sprayers.

“Fogging machines would be absolutely perfect for clubs,” says Brizzolara. “When the club closes, set the fogger up. It’s a simple mix of solution and water, set the timer. It fogs a 2,500-square-foot area; once its cycled through it turns itself off. No wipe down or labor in the morning.”

The solution is an EPA-pre-approved sanitizer and disinfectant that works without rinsing and is effective against the human coronavirus. It’s a concentrate, mixing from 1.5-4 oz per gallon of water maximizing your budget.
AZ-14 Disinfectant Wipes are a non-woven, alcohol-based disposable cloth containing a stable, low pH formulated disinfectant and deodorant for use on hard, non-porous surfaces where control of cross-contamination is required. (Note: May be used to pre-clean or decontaminate critical or semi-critical medical devices prior to sterilization or high-level disinfection.)

Medicide is a hospital grade disinfectant and deodorant that kills TB (Tubercule Bacilli), E. Coli, Herpes Simplex Types 1 and 2, Salmonella enterica, Staphylococcus, Avian Influenza A virus (H5N1), Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), Pandemic 2009 H1N1 Influenza A Virus and more. Inactivates HIV (AIDS virus) on pre-cleaned environmental surfaces/objects. It contains a blend of powerful phenolic germicide and controls mildew, while deodorizing areas where foul odors are present.

Grenade, as formidable as it sounds, neutralizes all types of malodors, including urine, fire, tobacco smoke, and mildew, in up to 6,000 cubic feet.
AZ-14 is a general cleaner and disinfectant meant for hard surfaces.

Illustrious is a multi-surface polish and duster suited for furniture and bars.
Phenalize Fogger is a virucidal, tuberculocidal, fungicide, bactericidal, pseudomonacidal, staphylocidal hospital-use, and a broad-spectrum disinfectant and antimicrobial agent.

Five times more fragrant and lasting for two months, the Wave Urinal releases billions of optimized bacteria that consume odors and keep drains clean and clear. “From the outside looking in, you cannot use basic household cleaning products to clean an establishment open to the public, you read the back of these cans and their products don’t say what ours do: some of our products have been upgraded to treat the novel coronavirus,” says Todd, who points out Cannon Industrial Products has promoted some of these products at the Gentlemen’s Club EXPO. “Our products shine better, smell better, last longer and you can be assured that the product will disinfect and kill the germs and bacteria. Everyone was brought up using some of the most trusted products including myself for decades, but once you use Cannon products and see for yourself there’s no way you will go back.”

Going deep

While Cannon Industrial isn’t worried at all about the effectiveness of its products, the company is aware that responsibility for combating this pandemic largely rests with the clubs themselves.

“A lot of people don’t deep clean,” says Todd. “When the establishment closes at night, you have to clean. Meaning, you just can’t spray something on a table and go over it with a towel. You have got to use the correct product and read the label for instructions. Clean it from top to bottom and do not use the same towel on door handles as you would tables, etc.”

“You can’t just stop with one-time use. You have to clean every night to make sure it stays clean because right now if you let it go, there’s a high risk for recontamination. You must clean the tables, clean the chairs, clean anything anyone touches. If they lean against a counter, clean the counter. I am stressing everything. It may be time-consuming but will be worth it not to have to shut down due to another outbreak.” – Tanya Todd

Perhaps the general public could take its cue from the gentlemen’s club industry. Nearly 50% of respondents to a COVID-19 survey by ED Publications said they would “thoroughly clean” before reopening, as well as have a constant supply of hand sanitizer throughout the club.

Todd warns even using a compound of Cannon’s products requires discipline.

“You can’t just stop with one-time use,” cautions Todd. “You have to clean every night to make sure it stays clean because right now if you let it go, there’s a high risk for recontamination. You must clean the tables, clean the chairs, clean anything anyone touches. If they lean against a counter, clean the counter. I am stressing everything. It may be time-consuming but will be worth it not to have to shut down due to another outbreak.

“That’s what we’re worried about,” continues Todd, “when everyone goes back to work, (people) won’t be cleaning. If everyone stays consistent with their cleaning and makes sure the product is used and used correctly, it’ll keep (the human coronavirus) out of that establishment.”

While the market for “clean” is arguably at its peak in the last century, Brizzolara maintains it’s not just his products that wash away doubt.

“It’s a competitive industry, there are a lot of similar products, but I think one thing we do is once a sale is consummated, we’re not done with that customer and we’re going to do whatever we can to keep that relationship,” he says, with the phone ringing in the background.

“Someone is always going to answer the phone, someone that knows what they’re talking about,” Brizzolara adds. “Mainly, the customer service. I’ve heard that a lot over the last several weeks, even people not ordering have made the comment, ‘You’re one of the few answering your phone,’ so they appreciate that.”

But Brizzolara knows there’s one thing in this climate customers value above all else, which is why he is encouraging the club industry to do its part.

“I haven’t seen how long the virus will live on various surfaces, but deep clean is touching every possible surface,” says Brizzolara. “You’re going to want to clean every nook and cranny you can find.”
